Preparations for the USP <800> standards on hazardous meds are in full swing...for the December 1, 2019 deadline.
We know improper handling of hazardous meds may increase the risk for cancer or organ damage...and have harmful effects on fertility or a fetus.
Continue to use full precautions when compounding chemotherapy...including wearing double chemo gloves and a nonpermeable gown. But now add double shoe covers.
